Beat ⅔ cup butter, ⅔ cup shortening, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Add 2½ cups, flour, ½ tsp salt, tsp soda and 350 ml pkg of chocolate chips. Nuts may be added if preferred. Drop by tsp on cookie (~80 cookies) sheet. Bake at 375º for 10-12 min.
