3 cups of peanuts or pecans (1 lb)
½ cup of water
1 cup of sugar
few drops of red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and water in a boiler on the stove and let the sugar dissolve. Add food coloring and peanuts. Cook and stir on medium heat until peanuts absorb ALL the water.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake in 325ºoven for 20 to 30 minutes or until peanuts are done. Cool and store in an airtight container.
