4 pounds pork spareribs, cut into individual ribs
1 onions, diced
1 tablespoon salt

MARINADE:
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons sherry
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

GLAZE:
4 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Put the spareribs, onion and salt in a large pot. Add water to barely cover the ribs, bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour. Let cool then drain. Combine the marinade ingredients. Coat the ribs with the marinade and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put the ribs on a foil-covered baking sheet and bake 30 minutes. Mix glaze ingredients. Remove ribs from oven. Increase oven temperature to 450 degrees. Combine the glaze ingredients and brush the ribs with this mixture. Bake the ribs 5 minutes.
