1 lb. ground beef
½ c. chopped onions
4-5 c. chopped cabbage
1 T. oil
pepper to taste

Sauce:
2 t. chicken bouillon
1 tsp. sugar
1 T. corn starch (don't add for low-carb recipe)
2 T. soy sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice or vinegar
Crushed red pepper flakes (opt.)
¼ c. water, if needed

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the ground beef with onions, seasoning with black pepper if desired (do not salt); drain. Brown chopped cabbage in oil. Combine hamburger and cabbage. Combine sauce ingredients and pour over the hamburger-cabbage mixture. Lightly sprinkle a few crushed red pepper flakes for spice if desired. Simmer 10 minutes, adding a little water if it gets too dry.

Mark and I like this for a quick and easy two-person meal. It is low-carb friendly if you leave out the corn starch (could also substitute Stevia sweetener for the sugar). If you aren't doing low-carb, it's great with onion rings.
