8 apples- 4 each red/green
1 c. sugar
½ c. flour
Dash salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
7 dashes nutmeg
Margarine

Pie crust: See Kim Snavely's oil pie crust recipe, as Bug's is the same.

Directions:
Directions:
Prior to putting top crust on, place small pieces of margarine (5) on top of apple filling. Top with crust. Poke holes in crust with knife or fork. Coat with thin layer of half-and-half or milk. Sprinkle with sugar. Place in brown paper bag, staple ends down. Bake at 450° for 20 minutes and then at 350° for 40 minutes. Remove paper bag top. Brown if needed for a few more minutes.
