- 12oz raw shrimp, deveined, peeled, without tails
- 1/2 sweet onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 3 slices bacon, chopped
- 150g grits (4 dry servings)
- 3tbsp butter
- 50ml fat free half and half
- 2 oz Gouda cheese
- Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne

1 | Cook your grits according to package instruction. Once they’re almost done, add half and half, butter, Gouda, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and keep warm
2 | In a frying pan over medium heat, add bacon and cook until fat has rendered into the pan
3 | Add peppers and onions to the bacon, cook until onions are translucent
4 | Add shrimp to pan and immediately season with spice mix, adjusting amounts to your preference
5 | Cook until shrimp turns pink and remove from heat
6 | Pour grits onto plate and top with shrimp
