1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. rubbed sage
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard;
1/4 tsp. pepper;
1/2 C dry bread crumbs
1 egg*
1/8th tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. onion powder (the equivalent of 1/4 cup finely chopped onion)

*When I try to make this healthy I use 93/7% ground beef. I add an egg white when I do this.

Preheat oven to 350º. Mix all ingredients together. Spread mixture in loaf pan 9"x5"x3", or a 13x9 pan (that's what I do). Sometimes I top with 1/2 C BBQ sauce or ketchup, but usually I leave it plain to get crispy.
