6 cups of flour sifted
1 lb. sweet butter at room temperature
1 jigger of apricot brandy
1 egg at room temperature
3 heaping Tbsp. of powdered sugar

Icing:

2 cups of powdered sugar
1 jigger of apricot brandy
water as needed to make icing the right consistency

Directions:
Cookies: At high speed, soften butter with an electric mixer. Add the powdered sugar and blend until smooth. Add brandy and blend. Add egg and blend for 15 minutes. At low speed, slowly blend in flour until too thick and then knead in by hand until dough is firm enough to make small balls. Bake at 350ºF for 25 – 30 minutes on an ungreased pan. When down the bottom will be golden brown and the top white; Remove from oven and allow to fully cool.

Icing: Mix powdered sugar with brandy. Add water sparingly until you reach the right consistency to coat cooking with icing so it does not run off.
