1.5 cups of sifted cake flour
1 Cup cocao powder
2 tsp of baking powder
¼ tsp of salt
¼ cup of butter at room temperature
1 cup of sugar
3 eggs at room temperature
1 tbsp of anise extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup dipping chocolate

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour cookie sheet.

Sift flour with salt and baking powder 3x and set aside.

Cream butter and sugar until smooth with a hand or stand mixer. Add in eggs one at a time, beating in well between each egg. Add in flour and beat at a low speed until well blended. Add nuts and mix well. Divide mixture in half. Spread each half on a cookie sheet to a 11 x 5” oval. Bake 15-20 min until pale golden brown. Remove from oven, cut into slices and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

Cool to room temperature

Melt dipping chocolate in microwave and dip one end of each biscotti in chocolate and let dry
