2.5 cups of sifted cake flour
2 tsp of baking powder
¼ tsp of salt
¼ cup of butter at room temperature
1 cup of sugar
3 eggs at room temperature
1 Tbsp. of anise extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour cookie sheet.

Sift flour with salt and baking powder 3x and set aside. Mix butter and sugar with hand or stand mixer until smooth. Add in eggs one at a time, beating in well between each egg. Add in flour and beat at a low speed until well blended. Divide mixture in half
Spread each half on a cookie sheet to a 11 x 5” oval. Bake 15-20 min until pale golden brown. Remove from oven, cut into slices and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
