1 c sour milk
1½ c sugar
¾ c shortening
2 eggs
3 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
salt

Frosting
4 C sifted powdered sugar
½ c butter
½ tsp vanilla
Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
Add baking soda to sour milk
Add this alternately with flour mixture
Add vanilla

Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet
Drop by teaspoon, spreading only slightly

Bake 350º 10 - 12 min
Frost when cool

Frosting
Add milk only to form desired consistency
Divide 2 parts
Add 3 squares melted chocolate to one part
Spread half with vanilla and half with chocolate
