"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb. medium breakfast sausage roll (we use Purnell's)
2% milk
flour
seasoned salt
pepper - lots

Directions:
Directions:
Brown your sausage in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat - we like to use a cast iron. Once the sausage is fully cooked and nice and crumbled, start adding in flour by the tablespoon directly to the skillet. That's right - DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO DRAIN YOUR SAUSAGE! You want to add the flour until it is fully absorbed into the fat from the sausage. Usually it's 2-3 tablespoons of flour. Continue stirring until the flour is completely absorbed and then start adding your milk into the skillet. Add about 1/2 cup at a time, stirring constantly until it's the thickness you desire. You can always add more milk! Usually it's about 3 cups of liquid in total. Add a few dashes of seasoned salt and lots of pepper. Let it simmer and bubble for about 10 minutes, if it gets too thick, just add a splash of milk and whisk it in! Serve atop fresh homemade biscuits (see lemon lime biscuit recipe!).
