Ingredients:  
1 gallon plus 1 quart of sliced squash

2 large peppers
2 cups sliced onion

1 quart vinegar
4+1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp turmeric
1 TB celery seed
1 TB whole mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle 1/3 cup salt heavy over a layer of squash then another layer of squash & salt. Cover with water & let soak overnight.Drain the squash well.

Combine chopped peppers & sliced onions with squash & boil three to four minutes then pour into hot jars & seal
