1 c sugar
1/3 c karo white syrup
½ c water

Directions:
Directions:
Cook until hard (using a candy thermometer) until candy cracks at 290º. Add coloring and ½ tsp flavoring of choice. Pour into greased plate. Roll with silver knife (not stainless steel it will stick) and cut with scissor.

Hint: Sassafras – use blue; Cinnamon – red; Wintergreen – green; Clove – yellow; Anise (licorice) – pink; Peppermint – white
