1/2 c margarine
1 c. boiling water
1 c. milk
3 pkg. yeast in 1/2 c. warm water
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
8 1/2 to 9 c. flour

FROSTING:
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. milk
Powdered sugar
Few drops Maple flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine in boiling water; cool to lukewarm. Add milk, Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir until mixed, add to melted butter and water mixture, add eggs, nutmeg, sugar, salt and flour. Knead for 5 minutes. Rest dough for 45 minutes. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 2x6 inch strips, lay on waxed paper; let rise until doubled. Fry as doughnuts.

FROSTING:
Melt butter; add brown sugar and boil a few minutes. Add maple flavoring, milk and enough powdered sugar to make consistency of frosting. Frost Long Johns.
