1 cup shortening
2 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp cream tarter
2 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together very thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla. Mix and sift flour, cream of tarter, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix. Chill dough. Shape into balls the size of a walnut. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place two inches apart on baking sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
