1 3 oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp butter
1 cup sifted flour
1 egg
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 to 2/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Let cheese and 1/2 cup butter soft to room temperature, blend well. Add flour and mix thoroughly. Chill 1 hour and shape into 24 balls. Press balls into small muffin pans to shape. Cover sides and bottom of cups. Beat together egg, sugar, remaining butter, vanilla and salt just until smooth. Place half the pecans equally in cups, divide the filling among the cups. Top with remaining pecans. Bake in 325 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pans. Tassies freeze well. Makes 24.
