4 cups sifted flour
1 cup margarine
2 cups soft brown sugar
4 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift the first 4 ingredients together, set aside for later use. Cream butter and brown sugar together. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture alternately with milk. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop from a teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in 375 degree oven. Makes 5 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.
