1 Stick Unsalted Butter, very soft
1 Pinch Kosher Salt
1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
4 Tbsp Pecorino Romano
1 pinch Cayenne
1 pinch White Pepper
1 Spritz Lemon Juice
1 tsp Minced Italian Parsley

1 Dozen Large freshly shucked Oysters on the half shell

Whisk together all ingredients except oysters.

Place a teaspoon or so on each oyster half (should do about 24)

Heat a charcoal or gas grill until very, very hot. Place the oysters on the hottest spot on the grill and let them cook in their own juices for a few minutes, just until they start to bubble and the edges curl.

I love to try new things and love going to coastal regions and trying oysters on the half shell. In the midwest, we aren't blessed with fresh seafood, but I was completely shocked when I found frozen whole oysters at a little Mexican grocery store in O'Neill Nebraska. I bought 24 of them and learned how to cut them open. They weren't worthy of eating raw, but my goodness were they good with this recipe. So easy and quick (other than the shucking) and so tasty on the grill!
