½ cup butter
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
2 beaten eggs
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon rind

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix butter, powdered sugar and flour, and put in bottom of cake pan.
2. Bake at 325º for 10 minutes.
3. Mix sugar, flour and baking powder.
4. Add eggs, lemon juice and rind.
5. Pour on hot crust.
6. Bake 25 minutes more at 325º.
7. Frost ??????

I've never tried this before, but I found it when I was going through the Krack/Hughes cookbook while organizing this cookbook. Grandma Siegel LOVES lemon bars, and so I am guessing that this is one of the ones she loved as a girl.
