1 pound ground Italian sausage
1 pound penne pasta, cooked
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 yellow onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups heavy whipping cream
5 ounces baby spinach
1 cup Parmigiano Reggiano, shredded

Directions:
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the sausage along with the onion, garlic, red pepper flakes and salt until sausage is cooked through.
Drain excess fat from the skillet if necessary.
Turn the heat to low and add the cream to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and add the spinach.
Cook, stirring until spinach is wilted.
Stir in the cheese until melted.
Stir the hot cooked pasta into the sauce.
Serve immediately.
