1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
11/2 tablespoons flour
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 vanilla or other such as rum








Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, and salt in saucepan, Add boiling water gradually, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat, stirring until thick and smooth (about 5 Minutes). Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Serve hot.
This yields -1 cup sauce, Sufficient for 4 servings.
