Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Fudge: its in the Red Rose Cookbook I am told:
11/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light cream
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:

Combine sugars, cream, milk and butter in heavy 3 quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil. Cook to soft ball stage (238 F) without stirring. Remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm (110F) by placing in cold water. Add vanilla: beat vigorously until mixture thickens and begins to lose its gloss. Stir in chopped nuts and quickly spread into buttered pan or platter; cut in squares.

I remember Belva putting it into a platter.

More fudge please

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Oh my, Belva makes the best fudge. Good memories for me growing up.
Belva and Terry as I recall, at least I think Terry helped or maybe kept us away from the candy making, anyway we would have fudge when they looked after us while Mom and Daddy went out. I was just told recently that they went dancing in Peace River. I think it was on Thursday nights. So that fudge was enjoyed many times.
