1 lb butter
2 C sugar
2 C brown sugar
4 eggs
4 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
4 C Old Fashioned Oats
2 12 oz pkg chocolate chips
1 8 oz chocolate bar (optional)
1 C chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
• Melt butter and set aside.
• Mix together all other ingredients, then add butter.
• Make one inch balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Do not flatten on cookie sheet.
• Bake at 350 for 10-13 minutes.
• Allow cookies to cool for 3-5 minutes on cookie sheet then remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling
racks.
TIP:
If you remove cookies too quickly, they will fall apart. If they stay on
the cookie sheet too long, they will continue baking on the hot pan
and will become too hard.

Yields: 6 dozen
