Preheat oven: 300º

1¼ C Blue Diamond almonds
1 (8 oz) pkg crème cheese, softened
½ C Kraft salad dressing mayonnaise
5 crisply cooked bacon slices, crumbled
1 Tb chopped green onion
½ tsp dill weed
⅛ tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
• Spread almonds in a single layer in shallow pan.
• Bake at 300 for 15 minutes, stirring often, until almonds jut begin to change color.
• Combine crème cheese and mayonnaise; mix well.
• Add bacon, onion, dill and pepper, mix well, cover, and chill overnight.
• Form cheese mixture into 2 pinecones on serving platter.
• Begin at narrow end, press almonds at slight angle into creme cheese mixture in rows.
• Garnish with artificial pine spring.

Serve with crackers.

I saw this recipe prepared at my Aunt Addilu's home one Christmas. It is such an unusual "winter look" appetizer that makes a fun appearance on a snacking appetizer table.
