2 lb. potatoes (about 6 medium)
3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
3 Tbsp flour
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
2½ c. milk
¼ c. onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. ham, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Heat margarine in saucepan over low heat until melted. Saute onion. Then add flour, salt and pepper gradually, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to thicken. Then add milk gradually, continuing to stir. Cook on low heat until mixture starts to thicken. Add soup and mix well. Set aside.

Peel potatoes and slice thinly. Place ½ the potatoes and ½ the ham in a greased 2 qt. casserole dish.Cover with half of the soup mixture. Repeat the layers once more. Bake covered at 325º for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
