1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 can cherries, drained (not pie filling)
1/4 - 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup fruit juice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients in alternately with milk. Beat until smooth. Pour into 2 quart casserole. Spoon fruit over batter; sprinkle with sugar. Pour fruit juice over top. Bake 45 - 50 minutes.
