1 German chocolate cake mix
¾ c. softened butter
⅔ c. sweetened condensed milk
50 unwrapped caramels
⅓ c. sweetened condensed milk
1 c. semi sweet or milk chocolate chips
*can add peanuts or slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake mix, butter and ⅔ cup condensed milk. Press ½ of cake mixture into greased 9x13 pan. (It will be a thin layer.) Bake @ 350º for 8 minutes.
In microwave, melt caramels and ⅓ cup condensed milk. Cook 1 minute, then stir and repeat up to 4 minutes.
Take melted caramels and pour over the top of semi baked brownie (avoid edges). Sprinkle with chocolate chips (and nuts if desired). Crumble remaining batter on top (it won't completely cover).
Return to oven for 12 minutes. Let sit for ½ hour to cool, then wrap and put in fridge to cool for 1 hour before cutting.
