1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 to 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating hard after addition of each. Stir in mashed bananas and lemon juice. Sift together flour baking powder and salt; add to banana mixture and mix quickly. Stir in nuts. Pour in a greased 9x59x" loaf pan. Bake 1 hour. Cool in pan before running a knife around the edge and removing from pan.
