Pie Crust - Nancy Jamison's recipe (Johnna's Great Grandmother)
2½ cups flour
½ tsp salt
1¼ cups Crisco
½ cup cold water

Add salt to flour, cut in Crisco with a fork, add cold water, and continue to mix with a fork. This recipe will make 2 pie crusts.

Cherry Pie Filling
Two cans tart cherries (For example, Oregon tart cherries in water, or Mother's Maid red tart pitted cherries in water, two 14.5 oz cans or one 26 oz can)
(Use one drained can of cherries, and one entire can with all of the juice)
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp heaping flour
1 tsp almond extract

Mix flour with sugar before adding cherries.
Roll top crust before adding cherries to filling in pie crust.
Brush top pie crust with milk, cream, or half and half.
Bake pie at 425 degrees for 25 minutes, then reduce oven to 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
