1/2 C. sugar
4 tsp. salt
2 C. warm water
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 C. lukewarm water
7 C. sifted flour
2 eggs
6 Tbsp. melted shortening

brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and salt in large bowl. Add 2 cups warm water plus 2 pkgs. dry yeast already mixed in 1/2 C. lukewarm water. Add 4 cups flour. Beat until well mixed and smooth. Add 2 eggs and beat again. Add melted shortening and beat again. Add rest of flour. Stir to mix well and knead on floured board until dough is smooth and elastic. Place dough in greased bowl, cover bowl with damp cloth and let rise in warm place about 2 1/2 hours. Punch down and form into rolls.

Roll to 1/4" thick and spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll up and slice 1 1/2" thick. Put 1/4 C. + of butter in 9X13 pan and cover with brown sugar. Place rolls in pan.

Let rise about 2 more hours in warm place. Bake 10-12 min. in 400 degree oven.

Basic dough can make 20 Parkerhouse or cloverleaf rolls, 1 loaf cinnamon bread, 15 large buns or 24 butterhorn rolls
