1 small or medium turnip
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook turnip until tender and mash together with all the other ingredients.
For a nice topping, I mix together 2 tbsp. brown sugar, 2 tbsp. butter and ½ cup bread crumbs. When well mixed, sprinkle over turnip mixture in small casserole dish and bake at 375º for 40 minutes.

The topping really makes this dish. We have enjoyed it a few times when Brenda and Don had some Thanksgiving dinners at their cottage on Fraser Lake.
