1 baked pie shell
1 cup sugar (scant)
1/8 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place the two beaten eggs in a mixing bowl and set aside. Mix together sugar, salt, cornstarch and cocoa in a heavy saucepan or Dutch oven. Add milk to dry ingredients; cook until thick. Spoon out several ladles of the filling into the two beaten eggs, whisking the eggs as you pour it in. Return the egg mixture back into the pan with the rest of the filling. Cook until thick. Add vanilla. (If the filling isn't thick enough, dissolve cornstarch in cold water and add it to the filling. Pour filling into a bake pie shell. Chill several hours before serving. Store in the refrigerator.
