¼ cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
2 ½ tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 ½ cups chicken broth
1 cup mixed fruits, cut into match-stick size pieces e.g. mango, apricots, etc.
1 tablespoon minced peeled, fresh ginger
2 tablespoons(1/4 stick)chilled butter, cut into ½ inch cubes
¾ cup frozen blueberries

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar and two tablespoons water in heavy small saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil without stirring until mixture is deep amber color, occasionally brushing down sides with wet pastry brush and swirling pan, about 8 minutes. Stir in the vinegar (mixture will bubble vigorously) Add broth: simmer until reduced to 1 cup, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in dried fruits and ginger. Let sauce stand for 30 minutes.
Rewarm sauce over low heat and whisk in butter several pieces at a time. Stir in blueberries, season with salt and pepper and serve over meat/poultry.
