12 chicken thighs
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons melted butter, divided
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
4 cups sliced onion
1 teaspoon minced peeled fresh ginger
18 pitted green olives, chopped
2 tablespoons flour
¾ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon coriander
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
1 cinnamon stick
2 cups fat free broth
½ cup pitted dates, chopped
3 tablespoons lemon juice
¼ cup basil leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in large pan. Add 1 tablespoon oil and swirl together. Add half the thighs, cook 4 minutes until browned, each side. Repeat with remaining oil and butter and thighs. Remove chicken from pan. Add onion and ginger to pan and sauté 8 minutes, add olives and sauté 1 minute more. Add flour and next four ingredients, cook 1 minutes stirring constantly. Add broth, bring to boil and cook 1 minute. Return chicken to pan and cook 12 minutes. Stir in dates simmer 10 minutes, stir in lemon juice and basil
