4 ½ cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cracked black peppercorns
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 tablespoons grand marnier
1 ½ tablespoons grated lemon peel
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
Powdered sugar

Line large baking sheet with parchment paper.. Mix first four ingredients in large bowl. Using electric mixer, beat 1 ½ cups sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in Grand Marnier, lemon peel and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, then mix into dry ingredients. Cover and chill slightly, about 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350. Sprinkle powdered sugar on work surface.
Divide dough in half, roll each half on sugar to 11 “ long, 2 ½ “ wide log.
Transfer log to prepared baking sheet, spacing three inches apart. Bake about 40 minutes. Cool slightly

Reduce oven to 325, cut and re cook five minutes per side.
