1 1/3 c. pitted dates (1 10 ounce container)
1 1/2  c. milk
1 c. sugar
2 tbs. butter
Cream:
3/4 c butter and 1 c sugar
Sift:
1c flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp soda
Stir into creamed butter and sugar mixture.
Mix in 2 1/2 c Quick Oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Spread 1/2 dry mix in the bottom and up sides of 9" square pan.
Cover with date mix.
Sprinkle rest of dry mix on top and press down lightly.
Bake at 375º for 25 minutes or lightly browned.
Cut into squares while hot. Do not try to remove until cooled.
