1 stick butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 c. sugar
1 c. dates, finely cut
2 3/4 c. crispy rice cereal
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
To the melted butter, add egg, sugar and dates. Cook in skillet for 6 minutes. Stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add cereal, nuts and vanilla. Form into a 1-inch balls and roll into powdered sugar.
