This recipe contains quantities for the regular batch, and in parenthesis, quantities for a smaller batch.

6 eggs (4)
3⅜ cups sugar (2¼)
2 quarts milk (5 cups)
6 cups heavy cream (4)
6¾ tsp vanilla (4½)
¾ tsp salt (½)

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixer, beat eggs until frothy. Add sugar gradually to beaten eggs. Continue to beat until mixture is very stiff, about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into 6 quart (1 gallon) freezer and freeze as directed by freezer manufacturer. (No cooking!)
