¾ cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup molasses
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Crisco and sugar. Add egg and beat. Add molasses and beat.

Sift and add the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda and salt.

Roll into balls and roll balls in sugar. Place on cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350º.
