1 cup oleo or Crisco
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
4 large eggs
1½ cups buttermilk
½ teaspoon baking soda

Combine all ingredients and beat well. Cook at 325º for about an hour.

This is an old recipe from the Stuteville family. My dad, Coy Stuteville used to make this and my grandfather Stuteville always said "Von make me that old pound cake and I don't care about anything else."
