1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
2-2½ cups flour (add less if needed so as not to make batter "dry"

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl beat butter until fluffy and add sugar and vanilla.
Add flour, salt and nuts slowly, stirring in thoroughly.
Bring dough together with your fingers and form solid ball.
Break off small pieces and form into Crescent shapes.

Bake at 300º on ungreased cookie sheet for 25-30 minutes.
While warm, roll in powdered sugar. Repeat if necessary.
