1 (4 ounce) package butterscotch pudding mix, instant
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons powdered ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a large bowl, mix together pudding mix, butter or shortening, brown sugar and egg. In a separate bowl, blend together flour, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon. Add dry mixture to shortening mixture and blend. Roll dough into a ball and chill for one hour. Roll out dough between floured wax paper and cut into shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for approximately 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
