20 lbs. apples
Water
Sugar (optional)
Fruit fresh (2 tsp. per quart)

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and quarter apples. Place apples in large kettle. Add water, just to the top of the apples. Bring to a boil. Simmer until apples break down. Run through a juicer or sift through a sieve, then a cheesecloth, separating the juice from the sauce. Add sugar to taste. Add fruit fresh into jars. Pour in juice.

Makes 5 quarts juice and 1 quart applesauce. Water bath 10 minutes for juice, 20 minutes for applesauce.
