Water Chestnuts


Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
3 cans whole water chestnuts
1 ½ to 2 pkg. bacon strips, cut each strip into 3 small strips
round toothpicks

Directions:
Directions:
Wrap chestnut in bacon and secure with round toothpick.
Bake in preheated oven at 350º in 9 x 13 inch pan until bacon is crispy.
Drain grease.
 

Sauce for Water Chestnuts

3/4 c. ketchup
1/2 to 3/4 c. brown sugar

Directions:

Bring mixture to a boil.
Pour over baked chestnuts and return to oven to bake approximately 15 minutes.

(Note: 3 cans of water chestnuts = 90. You may add or subtract cans according to how many you want to make.)
