1 head leaf lettuce
1 head Romaine lettuce
1 head Bibb lettuce
2 cups chopped celery
4 green onions with tops - chopped
2 (11 oz.) cans Mandarin oranges (drained)
1½ cups sliced almonds
2 T + 1 tsp. sugar

Dressing
4 T. sugar
½ cup salad oil
2 T. chopped parsley
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
dash tobacco
4 T. Tarragon vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
After washing lettuce, break into bite-size pieces and store in plastic bag lined with paper towel. Cook almonds in skillet with sugar until sugar is melted and almonds are browned. Place on a cookie sheet til cooled. Break into pieces.
Blend all ingredients for dressing in blender til smooth. Combine all salad ingredients with dressing and let marinate 10 minutes before serving.

* Does not keep well after combined with dressing. I prefer to use put dressing only on what i anticipate will be used at any one time.
