4 pounds Yukon Gold ( or russet) potatoes (about 12 medium potatoes), peeled, cut into quarters
4 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 cup (sticks) butter, room temperature
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the potatoes for 25 to 30 minutes, until soft. Drain the potatoes and add to a large mixing bowl. Add the salt, pepper and butter. Using an electric mixer, whip the potatoes on medium for about 1 minute. Gradually add the milk, sour cream and continue to whip for another 2-3 minutes, until the potatoes are smooth. Serve immediately
