Directions:
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk and stir well; add sugar, beaten eggs, salt, and half the flour. Combine well and add melted shortening. Beat and add balance of flour or enough to make a stiff dough. Turn dough out on floured surface, knead into a smooth dough, about 8 minutes. Transfer to large greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap or cloth; let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk about 1 hour. Turn dough out on floured surface, roll out ¼ inch thick and brush lightly with melted butter. Cut with biscuit cutter, dip handle of knife in flour and make a deep crease in center of each; fold one half over onto the other half of each roll. Place close together on greased pan and let rise about 15 minutes. Bake in preheated 425º F oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 3 doz. delicious hot rolls.
