1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
6 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar together until light colored.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating will after each one is added.
3. Add vanilla.
4. Sift flour and soda together.
5 Add enough of flour & soda mix to the creamed mixture so that dough holds together.
6. Chill dough overnight or for several hours at least.
7. When ready to bake cookies, preheat oven to 375º F.
8. Roll dough out on a floured surface; have dough ⅛-inch thick.
9. Cut out cookies and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
10. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
