1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
4 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cups plus 2 Tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter until very soft. Gradually add sugar, creaming well. Mix in flavorings. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk, beating until smooth.

Pour into 10 inch tube pan, lined with waxed paper on bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides. Bake at 350º for about 1 hour.

This cake is a favorite of our son Mark.
